mY hOme sWeeT hOmE...

I have been missing home recently. And this has inspired the card of the week; a simple 'home sweet home' design to reflect the simplicity and importance of our homes in our hearts.

To start... a colourful flowery glittering backdrop by We R Memory Keepers 'Bloom & Grow' was used for this card. This was then accentuated with a beige scalloped card stock with a home stamped in Memento 'Rich Cocoa' using Woodware Craft Collection 'Home Sweet Home' and pencil-coloured. A yellow satin ribbon (by Dovecraft) then highlighted the warmth of the home. Finally, a simple "home sweet home" message, stamped using Woodware on white paper and accessorised with yellow and pink gemstones (by Anita's), was adhered using 3D foam stickers. The message was also embossed with clear powder to give a glossy finish to match the glittery background.

So, this is it... my home sweet home...

tHE sPeeDy tOrToiSe....

The card of the week is dedicated to my lovely husband, who celebrated his 29th last week. In line with my cheeky nature, I had chosen a speedy tortoise for his card due to his love for BMW cars. :) The tortoise is a little reminder of slow and steady also winning the race.

So, the tortoise is stamped on cream card stock in Memento 'Bamboo Leaves' using Woodware Craft Collection 'Home Sweet Home' and pencil-coloured. They are then given a frame in moss green and hunter green card stocks. This is coupled with a colorful banner stamped using Papertrey Ink 'Banner Builder' stamp set and stuck on using 3D-foam stickers onto a sky blue scalloped card stock. The sentiment chosen is from Papertrey Ink 'Everyday Button Bits', which fits perfectly with our relationship nature - 'Our growing love'.

But most importantly, the final touch is in the BMW emblem carried by our Mr Speedy Tortoise. :)

Isn't he cute? Hehe... :) Happy birthday, dear!
